Ultimately this role will focus on working to identify and investigate serious organised crime cases working in conjunction with other agencies where necessary.
Working for our Local Authority client in Essex you may be involved with UK wide cases and as such you will need to be prepared to carry out visits when required.
The roles would be ideal for those from a background in the Police force, particularly if you have worked in an investigative capacity. On a daily basis you will be involved with obtaining witness statements and evidence in accordance with PACE guidelines. You will prepare applications for search warrants and attend Magistrates'/Crown Courts as required.
As part of a joint operations unit you will brief other Officers on certain operations and you will be accountable for evidence seized by the police.
For this reason we need those who have National Security Clearance to a minimum of 'Security Cleared' level.
These are highly specialist roles and as such we require suitably experienced Officers who hold relevant, nationally recognised law enforcement investigation qualifications such as the Accredited Counter fraud Specialist, PIP2.
We would also expect to see a work experience record commensurate with the level of this role and a proven track record in successful investigation case management.
Initially these roles will run until the end of March 2021 but given their nature they are very likely to extend. You will work 37 hours per week.
The rate will be £37/hr, roughly equivalent to around £45-£50k as a salary.
