Our client operates as a joint local authority covering a large area in West / SW London. They are looking to expand their Public Health offering with the appointment of 2 contractors, intitially for 3-6 months with a very real possibility of extension up to 2 years.
They are looking for those from a general Public Health Protection background and ideally a knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control. Each role will be assigned it's own specific workload and objectives and you will act as the Council's point of contact within a multi-agency team focused on work in response to Covid-19.
As Health Protection lea you will provide leadership and guidance on a range of activity in relation to risk assessment and control of infection. You will provide expertise, advice and regular progress reports to the Consultant in Public Health and other directorates including Adult Social Care and Public Health, Children's and Council Members
You will have responsibility to ensure systematic programme management and co-ordinated action ensuring compliance with government requirements and DHSC / PHE directives.
Given the demands on the service, our client is looking for those with a very pro-active approach to work and a 'can do' attitude. It is absolutely essential that you can quickly establish strong relationships with your network of colleagues across the Councils and partner organisations. Work can be highly stressful at times so they re looking for individuals who can prioritise workloads and respond calmly and with sensitivity in what can be a highly charged response.
