This is an excellent opportunity to work for a high profile Local Authority in London. As Interim Head of SEN you will report to the Director of Education Commissioning & Inclusion and you will work as part of the Education & Inclusion Senior Management Team.
You will have a lead role in forging and maintaining strong and resilient relationships with schools, education settings, FE providers, and voluntary sector partners to further improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
As Interim Head of SEN you will be expected to maintain a high-performing and cohesive team as you will inherit a strong SEND partnership. Ultimately you will be the strategic lead in the delivery of the SEND Strategy and engage the service teams in its effective and efficient delivery.
We are therefore looking for a high calibre candidate with a proven track record operating at this level. You will have some very key tasks and objectives to deliver so you will need to be focused and determined to succeed; it is important that you an work in a political environment and you are able to provide solutions and a forward thinking approach that inspires those around you. You will need an excellent knowledge of relevant acts related to Special Education Needs and the Code of Practice.
Our client is based right in the heart of London, close to Kings Cross. They will offer an initial 3-6 month contract and a day rate of £650/day (inside IR35).
