In this role you will focus on developing links in the business community in an effort to promote the quality and viability of the borough's commercial and shopping hubs. You will act as the champion for the development and delivery of business growth activities focusing on the industrial sector. Typical schemes you will work on will deal with issues such as inward investment, business support and development, co-financing opportunities, supply chain work and business communications projects. Ultimately you will serve to drive forward enterprise support and growth initiatives across the borough and put in place processes and schemes to offer support and networking opportunities for start-up businesses.
To carry out this role you will need a good understanding of local regeneration projects, specifically those targeted at the business community. You will need excellent communication skills with the ability to convey a clear supportive message to those interacting with the service. You will need to be well motivated with a positive outlook and a desire to make a difference. Previous roles will have given you exposure to carrying out engagement events and you will be comfortable leading such activities.
The role is based in Hammersmith and Fulham and will pay around £22-£25/hr. The initial contract will be 3-6 months.
