Our local authority client, based in East London are looking to appoint an experienced Housing Standards Officer. You will be required to have tall building, cladding inspection, HHSRS, and the Housing Act experience. Must be confident in issuing Notices, Section 235, Section 239, and Section 16, reviewing FRA, EWS1, PAS 9980 reports, etc. You will be required to support and increase their enforcement activities in the Fire Safety team. A new grant was received from the Government - Department of Levelling Up Housing Communities to continue this work on cladding remediation in the borough.
This role requires you to have at least 5 years’ experience within EH Housing, our clients are however willing to provide further training on Fire Safety and Cladding to the right candidate. You must also hold the HHSRS Certification.
The requirement for this contract is ASAP, however our clients are willing to extend for up to 18 months with a view to converting it to fixed-term should you wish to do so.
