Our client, a busy West London authority, requires a highly competent and well qualified Housing Options And Allocations Manager to manage multiple sub teams within the wider 'Housing Opportunities Team'. You will have full accountability for the procedures by which social housing is allocated and you will have a critical role in the development and implementation of strategic housing policy. The role will have budget management responsibility and you will be a key contact within the authority for providing responses to Members Enquiries, complaints, and customer enquiries.
On a regular basis you will conduct internal reviews under the 1996 Housing Act, Part VI relating to applications to the Council's Housing Register. You will play a lead or key role in the development and management of stakeholder partnerships, both internal and external and you will act as an Ambassador for the Council, and deputise for senior management. Your day to day management responsibilities will require you establish and monitor performance indicators and implement best practice customer service policies.
The successful candidate for this role will be a highly accomplished manager who has worked in the social housing sector for a significant amount of time. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders to manage priorities and service delivery. You will need to be calm under pressure and confident in your ability as a leader.
The role will last at least 4 months, probably much longer, and will pay £28/hr (umbrella).
