You will join our client's Housing Needs team working to deliver a high quality and customer focussed housing needs service to include provision of housing advice and homelessness services. You will be working within a busy team and you will be expected to take a pro-active approach in identifying and responding to every home seeker who may be at risk of homelessness in order to find the most effective means to prevent and tackle homelessness.
As part of the role you will carry out home visits to assess accuracy of homelessness applications and you will work with external agencies to ensure the referral process is as smooth and as effective as possible in helping place people into housing partner organisations. On a daily basis you will be dealing with a wide range of people including tenants, licensees, landlords and home seekers regarding their legal rights and you will be required to provide sound advice based on their individual circumstances.
To carry out this role you will need to have worked within a social housing environment and have a good understanding of dealing with homelessness issues. The contract is expected to last at least 3-6 months and possibly longer. Our client is based in Berkshire and will pay around £18-£19/hr.
