Our client is the housing department of a Local Authority based in West London and they are looking to appoint a Housing Assistant for an initial 3 month contract that is highly likely to extend. In this role you will act as the first point of contact for people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
You will play a key role in providing administrative support to ensure effective and efficient working practice across the department. Typical duties will include raising, paying and processing invoices; data inputting; coordinating casework and responding to complaints and enquiries.
To carry out his role you will need good customer service skills and a professional telephone manner a good understanding of homelessness and the issues that can create homelessness and previous experience of working within a local authority housing team.
The role will pay around £18-£19/hr (umbrella ) so it's a good rate for a role of this nature.
