Osborne Richardson have an excellent role with a Local Authority in East London who are seeking a Heritage and Urban Design Officer to take responsibility for the providing specialist advice on conservation and urban design matters relating to planning applications and to help guide new developments in the borough. Our client needs an officer with proven technical experience of working with listed buildings to work alongside them and provide expert advise and guidance. You will be responsible for handling pre-application advice, applications, negotiations with developers, appeals and enforcement work.
Applicants for this post must have a post grad qualification in Town Planning and relevant post qualification experience in a planning environment of which a significant element relates to conservation.
The role is a contract post which will initially be offered for 6 months though it could be extended. The rate offered will be £30.50/hr umbrella. Please get in touch for a copy of the job spec and further details.
