Our client is a Local Authority in South London whose Northern Border is the River Thames so they are very central.
They require a Health Protection Practitioner to provide specialist advice on Covid-19 and their Test and Trace programme. Joining the Public Health team you will work as part of the team dealing with a range of infectious diseases projects as well as vaccination immunisation and screening projects.
This role will lead on the response to Covid clusters and outbreaks in high risk settings and you will have responsibility for decisions about outbreak management and leading on multi-agency outbreak responses.
Given the specialist nature of the role it is essential you have knowledge of infectious disease and appropriate response strategies. You will need managerial experience as you will supervise up to 4 staff members.
You will need extensive experience working with third parties and proven track record in delivering partnership working, particularly with the NHS.
The role is expected to last at least 3-6 months and will pay at least £225 per day but this is negotiable. We are able to specify individual rate expectations on application. The role can be 100% home based.
