Health and Safety Manager (COVID-secure elections & counts)

Our client, based in the home counties is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to co-ordinate the development and implementation of Health and Safety guidance to Returning Officers and Election Managers throughout the County to ensure that elections and counts take place in a COVID-secure way. You will be asked to collaborate with Infection Prevention and Control professionals to interpret all relevant guidance, and consider the implications on health and safety of all staff, volunteers and citizens involved in elections and counts as well as using a range of resources to develop guidance for Returning Officers, Election Managers and election staff to ensure the effective operation of a COVID-secure election site.

To be successful it is essential you have Qualifications and a senior level of experience in infection prevention and control and/or health and safety for another Local Authority. Having health and safety experience in relation to Covid will also put you in a strong position.

The work will be predominately home based however you will the need ability to travel in a COVID-secure way to multiple sites across the County in the lead up to and on election day. You will be offered a contract until 14 May 2021 for £300 LTD per day.
