Our clients, based in the Home Counties are looking for a team of experienced Health and Safety Specialists to work alongside Councils existing Corporate Health and Safety arrangements and you will asked to carry out Covid secure risk assessments of polling stations and count venues in the county in preparation for the May 2021 elections.
The role would be to implement the infection control guidance, health and safety regulations and provide guidance and support to the district/boroughs election teams on the provision of running a Covid secure election and count. You will be asked to help plan and co-ordinate district and boroughs Covid-19 safe elections, with a focus on the health and safety of staff and electors at polling stations and the count site within each individual district.
The elections this year require additional assessment and controls due to Covid 19. This requires specialist support to the elections team to ensure that Covid controls are properly implemented throughout the election. In addition, the H&S Specialists would assist with the implementation of the Covid election risk assessments to ensure consistency of approach and fit with legislation.
The successful candidates will have Qualifications and experience in health and safety, infection prevention and control experience would be desirable.
