Full Description

Our client based in North London, are looking for a Head of Street Scene Service Support. This person will be responsible for supporting the delivery of front-line services, through the effective managements of data systems, administration, customer support, service change, staff and customer engagement, and demand management across Street Scene.

You will be asked to oversee: Recycling and Waste, Street Cleansing, Ground Maintenance, Commercial Development, Fleet Maintenance and Passenger Transport .

The role leads the development and delivery of improvement activities and Quality Management System for the Street Scene. It works with a range of internal and external partners to achieve effective outcomes for residents of the Council. The Head of Service is a member of the Street Scene Leadership team. The role acts as the driver of change and improvement, to ensure high performance and that Street Scene Services meet strategic goals.

The post holder is required to work collaboratively to develop practical responses to key challenges facing the authority, promoting innovation and creativity in service provision. A crucial requirement of this post is the need to interpret, analyse and own the development of strategic solutions to complex, cross-cutting policy challenges. Especially those to manage demand for services across the Borough.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high quality outcomes, with a clear ability to think strategically – and the ability to work across team boundaries during times of increased pressure. The role will provide senior leadership and management of the service support team. It will ensure the development and maintenance of a high quality, resilient, responsive, and effective service support to deliver the Council’s strategic aims and objectives. In total, the role is responsible for circa £2 million per annum revenue and capital budget, and 20 internal staff.

If successful you will be offered £400 per day however we are happy to submit at higher if your qualifications and experience demonstrate it is justified.
