We have an excellent opportunity for a Head of Property to join a our client who is a Local Authority based in South East London for a contract role. This is a key managerial role in our client's organisation which will see you take accountability for the strategic development, production, monitoring and review of our client's property strategy and policies for their portfolio of assets.
Managing up to 10 personal directly and 10-20 personal indirectly you will direct, monitor and control the work of a multi-disciplinary team of professional staff responsible for the Authorities' property assets including the Valuation and Estates function. You will also be responsible for providing comprehensive, professional and innovative asset management services to our client, ensuring that a culture of excellent property and asset management exists across the operations of the Authorities' property estate.
To be successful in this role you will need an excellent understanding of public sector governance. Strong commercial property and an asset management background is required and you will need to have excellent leadership skills with a wide range of knowledge that allows you to manage across the teams mentioned. Formal qualifications are expected at this level and professional accreditation within a related profession is preferred.
The role will be offered as a 3 month basis but it is expected to be extended beyond this. The role is inside IR35 and the day rate will be in the region of £400-£500. Please get in touch for more information including a copy of the job spec.
