Our client is looking to appoint a Head of Commissioning/Deputy Director of Commissioning for Older people to play a key leadership role in delivering the ambition for joint commissioning and will have responsibility for commissioning arrangements for services for older people.
In this role you will seek to promote service transformation, service innovation, high standards of customer care, partnership and the delivery of integrated service provision with residents and service users, the third sector and other independent providers, and the CCG, other Council Directorates and other public service agencies, and local networks and partnerships.
The primary focus of this assignment will be to work on domiciliary care; older people’s care homes; extra care sheltered housing; hostels, so experience in one or all of these areas is essential to undertake the role. You will need to have experience of strategy development and transformation in these areas
and of working with the NHS and in particular on community health services and discharge from hospital.
This assignment is set for 3-6 months with a likely extension thereafter and the pay rate is £650/day umbrella.
