Our client is offering an excellent opportunity to take a lead role as a Growth Programme Manager, supervising a team of 3 PMOs delivering a complex and diverse portfolio of projects across regeneration, housing and delivery of community infrastructure.
Essentially you will act as the lead on ensuring smooth project delivery with the main focus of your attention on implementing robust project and programme management governance across the portfolio. We are therefore looking for an accomplished senior manager who can motivate others, share their knowledge for the benefit of the team and can bring creative ideas and deliver solutions; we need a good decision maker with excellent negotiation skills.
The Growth team acts as a central strategic team whose fundamental purpose is to effectively provide high quality, consistent and effective delivery of the capital portfolio. You can expect to be working with colleagues across the Council, specifically with other senior managers and you will need to be able to develop appropriate strategies on a project by project basis so you will be drawing upon your diverse range of experience. A key function of your role will be providing longer term planning and direction and helping co-ordinate resources.
You will be an integral part of ensuring the Council can deliver corporate objectives and you will work to ensure continuous transformation of the organisations approach to management of capital projects, moving beyond assuring and supporting compliance and taking responsibility for ongoing development of approaches.
This is an excellent opportunity and to fulfil the requirements as a Growth Programme Manager you will need to have a proven track record in a leadership role. You will need to be confident in your ability to make an impact and you will need to be someone who can quickly integrate into the team and bring a high level of professionalism and focus to the role.
Our client will offer an initial 3-6 month contract which may extend and they are looking to pay at least £500/day (inside IR35). They are open to negotiation so please state your day rate when you apply.
