This is a fantastic opportunity for a contractor to join our local authority client in South West London as 'Future Culture and Heritage Programme Manager' for a minimum 7 month contract paying £500/day (umbrella).
Our client's Culture and Heritage Service is radically changing through a transformation programme called Future Culture and Heritage and they need you to play a key role in steering it's development programme.
The Culture and Heritage Service currently consists of 5 individual services: Libraries; Heritage; Kingston Music Service; Arts Commissioning and Kingston Adult Education. The aim is to develop one culture service, reducing service silos and ensuring staff have the skills, qualities and experiences required to deliver a dynamic culture service for the borough.
Some of your key deliverables will include:
- Leading the Future Culture Programme, delivering a sustainable service delivery model that follows the Corporate Blueprint - Keeping the project to time, insuring the implementation of the new service delivery model - Liaising and negotiating with stakeholders such as trade unions and third party funders - Ensuring the service delivery model and roles developed meet the strategic needs of the organisation and deliver identified savings of £250K
They need an exceptional leader in change management, specifically someone who has significant experience and a proven track record of achievement in leading and managing change in services such as Culture in a local authority or similar sector.
You will need high level negotiation skills and a proven track record in project delivery. Confidence is essential and you will need to be able to lead on decision making. You will need an agile and adaptable mind-set with the ability to implement creative work approaches.
The role is 4 days per week.
