We are seeking an experienced Housing Fraud Investigator to join our Anti-Fraud Team and provide immediate support in tackling a backlog of housing fraud cases. The role involves conducting both civil and criminal investigations, leading proactive counter-fraud projects, and helping to strengthen the organisation’s anti-fraud culture. You will work closely with internal teams and external agencies, ensuring all investigations are carried out to professional standards and in line with relevant legislation and Council policies.
We are looking for a candidate with proven Local Government Housing Fraud experience who can hit the ground running. You should have a strong understanding of investigative legislation, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex and sensitive cases independently. Experience providing advice to housing staff, liaising with law enforcement agencies, and contributing to fraud prevention initiatives is essential.
