We have a contract with a client in the North West of England to deliver food hygiene inspections, typically doing somewhere between 200-300 per annum. We recently secured a new 4 year contract and will shortly be looking to commence work.
The contract is completely flexible in terms of work pattern since the work is not routine 9-5. You will be given a list of inspections to suit your availability and you will be left to manage your own schedule in line with an agreed end date. You do not necessarily have to work every week.
You will carry out a site visit, complete a report and return documentation to the Council for their staff to complete the data input and admin work. The workload at the moment is Cat C and D premises so it is very straight forward.
To apply you will need to have experience of local authority food intervention work. You will need to hold an up to date CPD record and we will need a copy of a completed Competency Assessment (we can provide a template if needs be). We will also need copies of your professional and academic qualifications.
We will pay £43 for Cat C premises and £39 for Cat D. The work is outside IR35 for those who wish to use a limited company.
