We are bidding for a contract with a client in North Yorkshire who require 300 food premises inspections completing before the end of March 2020. A certain number of these will need completing before the end of September due to their seasonal opening hours. We will probably required 2-3 Inspectors to complete the work programme.
The spec is to complete 185 Cat Ds, 90 Cat Es and the remaining 25 will be a mixture of risk categories. You will be required to complete a full food hygiene inspection; Cat Ds typically expected to take no less than 1 hour and Cat Es no less than 30 minutes. You will produce an inspection report and establish the Food Hygiene Rating Score based on your assessment. You will then draft a letter, to include recommendations, which will be sent back to the client organisation for them to issue to the Food Business Operator.
To carryout the work you will need to be 'Food Competent' as defined by the FSA Code of Practice. We will need evidence of your CPD record and qualifications to support this and your CV will need to show recent experience completing Local Authority food intervention inspections. We will need a completed Competency Assessment document.
The work will be outside IR35 and we expect to pay £35-£45 per inspection depending upon the category.
