Our client, in Central London, are looking for an Air Quality Monitoring Officer to be responsible for the Council’s air quality monitoring programme and to contribute to the implementation and updating of the Air Quality Management Plan.
The role involves being a centre of expertise on air pollution and providing advice for other departments, residents and policy formulation. You will also need to ensure the continuous operation of the Council’s automated air quality monitoring stations and their data output by managing contracts for the operation, maintenance and servicing of the necessary equipment, and its accommodation. The council will ask you to advise on the air quality aspects of planning applications and other planning documents, including evaluating air quality assessments submitted in support of applications.
To be successful you will Experience in dealing with and working knowledge of air quality issues and in exchange for this you will be offered at 3 month contract (with a possibility of extension) offering £35-£40 PH Umbrella in a busy, central London authority. Hybrid working with 3 days needed in the office/on district.
