Our client, based in Derbyshire are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Protection Specialist. The work would be dealing with high volumes of planning application consultations on behalf of the Environmental Health Service and providing in depth reviews and written professional advice to the Planning service on applications, recommending conditions, representing the service at planning appeals where required. The role will include the need for some site visits where it is not feasible to assess a site remotely. It is expected that the initial work will entail at least 120 cases of varying complexity which we would anticipate taking 12 weeks to complete
As well as the required qualifications needed for roles of this nature, our client is looking for a candidate who has excellent verbal and written communication skills and who can negotiate effectively. Critically they must have up to date planning guidance knowledge and have demonstrable recent experience providing this kind of advice on complex planning matters.
Our client would prefer someone who is able to start ASAP, certainly before June. Remote working is an option but you must be able to make site visits as and when required.
