Our client requires 2 EHOs to carry out visits to businesses in their area to provide advice and enforcement work in relation to H&S obligations under the Covid-19 regs. Typically work will include providing advice on H&S measures and dealing with business closures if necessary. You may need to issue FPNs and H&S notices in conjunction with issues such as social distancing. The objective of the work is to help our client provide support with infection control, track and trace so an effective response can be formulated to allow businesses to open.
The ideal candidate for this role will come from an enforcement related background within environmental health. Any experience of outbreak control would be an advantage so the role may appeal to those with experience in food safety or public health work. You will need to be aware of local authority powers and the use of FPN's. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work with business owners operating under difficult circumstances. You must be able to drive and be insured for work purposes if using your own vehicle.
Our client is based in West Yorkshire and will provide pool cars or pay mileage to those using their own vehicle. You will be able to complete paperwork and admin at home and you will be provided with a laptop and access to the MS job system. You will also have use of a smart phone.
The initial contract will be 2 months and pay up to £45/hr so this is very well paid work
