Full Description

Excellent new opportunity has arisen to take up a permanent position within one of our East London based clients. Greenwich council is working exclusively with Osborne Richardson as they look to appoint a Environmental Health Lead Officer –Environmental Health (Pollution & Residential Services) - Salary grade PO3.

This is a great time to be joining Greenwich as they are presently in the early stages of a restructure, with the plan being to implement a 5 year programme of work dealing with additional licensing. You can be an integral member of a new team that will really be making a difference for the local residents in the community.

You will be responsible to a Team Leader for managing staff and leading on projects/specialisms as allocated within the Commercial, Residential/Housing and Pollution/Waste Management areas of work, and for carrying out the full range of functions undertaken within the team.

In order to undertake this role, you must have substantial and recent regulatory experience in Private Sector Housing/HMO’s including demonstrable experience of having taken high level enforcement work across a broad range of enforcement options. You will need to have demonstrable knowledge derived from being a housing professional, including understanding & appreciation of private sector housing and relevant licensing provisions, legislation and standards. You must also be HHSRS accredited and have a relevant degree level qualification, and be a member of a relevant professional recognised body (Example. Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Chartered Institute of Housing)
