You will join a team of 3 that focus on carrying out environmental enforcement activity in connection with business waste compliance and fly tipping. The primary focus is ensuring that businesses are complying with their duty of care and where appropriate arrangements are in place that the are not overproducing.
You will be working towards specific performance targets and customer satisfaction objectives. A key part of the role will involve producing prosecution statements, case files, statutory notices, warning letters and educational material to support action to tackle offending behaviour. Some aspects of your role will involve investigating noise complaints and providing support to the environmental health team.
To work in this role you will need previous experience of dealing with waste enforcement cases and a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and the role of local authorities as an enforcement body. You will need to be happy working a shift pattern which on occasion may involve working outside routine office hours.
The role is based in South West London and will pay around £20-£22/hr (umbrella).
