Full Description

Our client is looking for a Enforcement Town Planner to join them for a contract role in Essex. In this role you will manage a large and complex enforcement case involving Travelling Show people. As a Planning Enforcement Officer your fundamental role will be to carry out site visits and investigate potential planning control breaches. You will be required to record evidence and detailed information in a precise format as it may be required should a case progress to prosecution.

To carry out this role it is absolutely essential you have worked within a similar capacity within a local authority setting and experience of managing a high profile case is required. You will need a good working knowledge of planning legislation and be able to progress cases to Notice and Prosecution level. As you will be largely working under your own initiative you will need to be disciplined in your approach to work and you will need to be able to manage work within agreed timeframes. Formal town planning qualifications are not absolutely necessary if you have an equivalent level of work experience in this specialist area.

This role will initially be offered as a 3 month contract but is likely to be a rolling contract which run on in excess of 12 months. The rate will depend upon your level of experience but is expected to be up to £40/hr umbrella and this role is inside IR35. Please get in touch for further information.
