Our client based in Northern-Eastern England are looking to appoint a Pollution Control Environmental Health Officer / Technical Officer who is able to deal with the range of issues they investigate including Statutory nuisance investigation, noise monitoring and enforcement. You will also be asked to deal with Drainage investigations and enforcement.
To be successful in the role is it is very important that you have experience doing this role, for another Council for at least 2 years, they are aware this is a broad role so more experience of the above tasks, the better the chance you will be successful but not all are essential. The position would not suit a recently qualified EHO or someone who has no experience in Environmental protection as we a quite busy and need someone who has experience and can hit the ground running. Having experience of using APP EH complaints database will put you in a strong position.
As this is maternity cover you will be offered an initial 3 month contract until the end of 2021 paying £32-£37PH LTD.
