Our client, based in East Midlands are looking for an Officer to support the team in the undertaking inspections of properties volunteered under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. They are also asking for the successful person to undertake inspections of properties identified under the Afghan Resettlement and Assistance Programme (ARAP) and general possible temporary accommodation.
You will also be asked to inspect properties using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and taking appropriate enforcement action in line with the enforcement policy, specifically the drafting and serving of statutory notices. One post holder will have a focus on Fire safety in residential blocks, the other will provide support on HMO licensing.
This role, at the very minimum requires you to hold the HHSRS Certificate in order to be considered and the client would prefer at least 2 years’ experience of working within this field in a local authority setting as well.
This is an initial 3 month contract starting ASAP. Home working may be available and this can be discussed as your working arrangement with the client. Rates will be £35-£38 PH Umbrella
