Our client, based in South London are looking for 2 Officers to support the team in the regulation of the private rented housing sector by investigating complaints regarding public health and the private rented housing sector. This includes carrying out inspections of properties using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and taking appropriate enforcement action in line with the enforcement policy, specifically the drafting and serving of statutory notices. One post holder will have a focus on Fire safety in residential blocks, the other will provide support on HMO licensing.
This role, at the very minimum requires you to hold the HHSRS Certificate in order to be considered and the client would prefer at least 2 years’ experience of working within this field in a local authority setting as well.
This is an initial 3 month contract starting in January. Home working may be available and this can be discussed as your working arrangement with the client. Rates will be £35-£38 PH Umbrella
