Our client, based in East London is looking for talented Environmental Health Officers/Practitioners to work within the Enforcement Team - Private Sector Housing group. The role includes carrying out multi-agency inspections of unlicensed properties and licence condition checks, proactive HMO inspections and inspecting properties in disrepair.. You will be expected to inspect and survey a wide range of private sector residential properties including owner-occupied homes, houses-in-multiple occupation, and empty properties. You will also be expected to inspect properties in poor, overcrowded and unsanitary conditions in various locations, this may include early mornings and evenings so a level of flexibility is expected.
For this role our client requires an experienced officer with at least 2 years within local authority. You must also hold the HHSRS Certificate.
The contract is currently running for 3 months, this is likely to be extended and they will pay £35-£40PH Umbrella.
