Our client from South Wales requires a Environmental Health Officerto work within their Housing Team which ensuring residential accommodation throughout the District meets statutory standards. They require a qualified Environmental Health Officer with experience in undertaking Housing Health and Safety Rating System within private housing stock, responding to complaints, Inspecting HMO's, dealing with filthy and verminous premises, working towards brining empty homes back into use empty homes. Need to be able to gather evidence, serve statutory notices, produce prosecution files, give evidence at tribunals, Courts etc,
You will need to possess the HHSRS certificate, be EHRB registered and have extensive experience within local authority private sector housing. You will need to have good negotiation and communication skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision to manage your own caseload. It is essential that your legislation knowledge is thorough and up to date and you have the ability to carry out enforcement work where required.
The successful candidate will get an initial 4 month+ contract paying £30+
