Our client, based in Nottinghamshire, is looking to appoint an experienced contractor to a role that will last for up to 3 months and will see you involved with the full remit of private sector housing work with typical day to day work including inspections under HHSRS and dealing with routine queries and complaints from tenants and carrying out subsequent investigations. Depending on your level of experience you may also be involved with enforcement and prosecution cases. Fundamentally you will serve to ensure that housing standards comply with current legislation guidelines and that landlords are adhering to environmental legislation in relation to rented private sector housing.
To apply for this role it is absolutely essential that you hold the HHSRS qualification, an Environmental Health Degree and have recent work experience carrying out inspections under this framework. Our client has expressed that it would be desirable if you are also EHORB Registered. You will need to be fully conversant with the latest legislation and best practice guidelines within private sector housing. You will need to be confident dealing with the general public and in negotiating and dealing with landlords under difficult circumstances to work with them to address issues raised by tenants.
As mentioned, the role will run for an initial 3 month period starting ASAP. Your rates will be dependent upon your qualifications and experience; they will start from £27.
