Our client based in North Norfolk are seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to work as soon as possible. The role involves carrying out inspections of privately rented properties across the district. Access to a car is essential, with mileage paid.
They are looking for an officer with proven experience in carrying out inspections under the Housing Act 2004, assessing hazards using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), and drafting and serving Improvement Notices, including identifying defects and specifying appropriate remedial works. Experience in identifying the causes of, and remedies for, damp and mould is also required.
The contract is expected to last until the end of the current financial year (by the end of March). The rate of pay is £45 per hour (Umbrella).
