Dacorum Borough Council, based in Hemel Hempstead require 225-250 food hygiene inspections to be completed by the 31/03/19. This figure may vary due to the dynamic nature of food businesses opening/closing and inspection ratings changing as a result of enforcement visits. Expressions of interest are invited from individual freelance EHPs/contractors (provided they are a limited company), SME's and larger food safety consultancies and recruitment agencies by midday on the 5th November 2018.
The table below is an approximate breakdown of the inspection categories due and the rates of pay per inspection. This rate is inclusive of any expenses. Mileage and parking is to be met by the appointed party. Expressions of interest can be for the entirety of the work, or a proportion of the work providing it is greater than one third of the total, i.e. a third across each category (e.g. 7Bs, 15Cs and 64Ds). Those undertaking inspections must meet the competency requirements of the food law code of practice (FLCOP) including at least 10 hours CPD.
The expressions of interest are open to EHORB registered Environmental Health Practitioners and those that hold the Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspections (providing the FLCOP requirements are met).
