Full Description

Our client, based in the South West are looking for an EHO to undertake food premises inspections as part of the inspection programme to meet the expectations of the Food Standards Agency Food Law Code of Practice and National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme. To complete the inspection, including prior consideration of previous inspection report, of food premises rated D or C using the Partnership inspection form and to leave a report of visit at the premises (where there are no or minor contraventions and/or recommendations) and identify premises that require a letter (for any premises less than Broadly Compliant) and to draft the letter. The number of inspection may include more (taking account of the capacity of the contractor/s and ) but is for a minimum of 50 and potentially to try and achieve 70-80.

There would be a ½ day (longer if necessary by agreement) paid induction to discuss inspection practice, arrangements etc.

The work would start ASAP to be completed by 31st of March 2018, or by agreement (as part of the negotiation of the contract) the extension of the contract until 30th June 2018. There is therefore flexibility from both parties, with a minimum inspection target for 31st March, and increased numbers of inspections to be undertaken depending on capacity of contractor/s.

The contractor must be either an Environmental Health Officer or Technical Officer with a qualification suitable for the inspection of food premises rated D or C and appropriate up-to-date Continuing Professional Development (taking account of the Food Standards Agency Food Law Code of Practice). The contractor/s must have recent experienced in the inspection of food premises rated D or C, and in the assessment of premises to rate them in accordance with the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
