Our client, based in West Sussex, are looking for an EHO to work within the Environmental Health Commercial Team in the areas of Food Safety and Infectious Disease investigations. They need someone to undertake food safety inspections in all risk categories in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice, investigate complaints relating to food, food practices & food premises arising from drainage defects, pest control and accumulations and complete inspection reports, drafting of reports & letters, issue of informal notices. They are open to speak to anyone who can commit to between 3 and 5 days per week and they offer hybrid working.
To be successful in this application it is crucial that you hold the Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Food Control/Premise Inspection or equivalent granted by a body, recognised by the CIEH and meets the competency framework under the current food law code of practice issued by the FSA, hold a full driving licence and access to a car and have detailed understanding of the relevant legislation related to these areas of work plus a detailed understanding of the underlying concepts and principles of the specialist area within which this job operates at an advanced level. A sound knowledge of the food industry and knowledge of the Food Law Code of Practice/Practice Guidance & other professional procedures or practices.
If you are successful then you will be offered an initial 3 month contract paying £40-£45PH Umbrella.
