Our local authority client, based in East Sussex are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health Housing Officer who is able to undertake investigations, inspections, monitoring and appraisals of premises, in response to requests for assistance and applications for the Licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation. To reactively inspect and appraise residential premises at the request of tenants, landlords, owners, managing agents and leaseholders and in response to the HMO Licensing Scheme applications as directed by the Senior Environmental Health Officer. Inspections will often involve dealing with complaints and general enquiries.
As previously mentioned, this role requires an experienced officer, you must have at least 5 years’ experience working within this field for a local authority. At a minimum, you must hold the HHSRS certificate.
This is a 6 month contract starting ASAP and the hourly rate will be £40 per hour Umbrella. Hybrid working is available but you will be expected to be on site for inspections.
