Our local authority client, based in Surrey are looking to appoint a HHSRS qualified Private Sector Housing who is able to investigate housing complaints, HHSRS inspections and do inspections of Houses in Multiple Occupation. You must be able to recommend whether enforcement action should be taken against individuals and businesses for non-compliance with legislation in accordance with the Council’s enforcement policy and Scheme of Delegation.
As mentioned, our clients requirement for this role is for someone who holds the HHSRS Certificate and at the very least has worked within a local authority in the last 2 years. Your CV must demonstrate that you have experience in undertaking property inspections, identifying building defects and associated remedial works.
This is a three month contract starting in July. You must be able to commit to at least 3 days per week at a minimum. You can also cover the full time hours over four days. Site visits are expected but admin can be done from home. Rates will start at £38 and can be negotiated higher depending on experience level.
