Our local authority client, based in North London have an excellent opportunity for those looking for a long term contract. They are currently in need for some extra support to work with duty holders to speed up the removal of cladding in Privately owned Residential Tall Buildings – the position will be in their Residential Environmental Health Team. They currently have one EHO working on this activity full time but require a second officer, ideally someone with management experience who could also undertake a leadership/project management role.
Duties for this role include:
• Case management private owned tall building with cladding from identification of duty holder through to cladding being removed or certified as safe
• Duty holder engagement & monitoring support
• Liaison with stakeholders – Fire Brigade, DLUCH, Cladding removal funding providers, LGA Joint Inspection Team
• Plan and organise boroughwide survey to identify privately owned residential tall buildings over 11m
Skills & Experience
• Excellent communication skills – ability to engage with developers/building managing agents
• Inspection and investigation skills
• Good fire safety knowledge
• Enforcement experience – identifying duty holders, obtaining documentation, HHSRS
• Partnership working
• Flexible & agile
• Good analytical skills
• Good IT skills – especially working with spreadsheets

This contract will run for at least 10 months. Flexibility re hybrid working can be negotiated. If you are interested, please let us know how many hours/days per week you can commit to including days worked from home etc. Rate for this role will be £280 per day possible negotiation for higher if you are looking for less than full time hours.
