Full Description

Osborne Richardson have an excellent new opportunity with one of our London local authority clients for an Interim Director of New Build and Corporate Landlord.

Our client has set out a target of 750 new council rent homes to be started on site before December 2027, requiring close to 1500 homes for cross subsidy as well as renewal of related infrastructure including, leisure and GP practice provision. The primary objective for this interim role is to lead on the completion of a strategic review of the existing pipeline that is underway. The wider economic climate presents considerable risk, and it is essential that the new homes programme strikes the right balance between deliverability and affordability whilst recognising the manifesto commitment.

The role also includes interim line management of the Council’s corporate landlord function providing leadership to Assistant Director reports to manage the Councils general fund capital and facilities management functions and the further development of the corporate asset strategy.

To apply you will need to hold a relevant related qualification and a proven track record in delivering major housing delivery projects within a Local Authority or Housing Association setting. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members. This role would be suited for a candidate with technical skills in surveying / a property background.

This role will be based in East London and will initially be offered for 6 months though it is expected to be extended beyond this. This role is inside IR35 and the rate offered is circa £700 - £800/day though there is potential for negotiations depending on your experience.

A full JD available on application.
