DFG Officer

Our client, a Local Authority in Staffordshire, is looking for a highly motivated Technical Officer to support their Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) and Adaptations Service, on a contract running to 31 March 2027. You'll produce designs and specifications for adaptations, including ramps, level access showers and more complex adaptation schemes using CAD, managing projects from survey through to practical completion. The role involves liaising closely with customers, Occupational Therapists and contractors, undertaking contract administration and project monitoring, and supporting procurement, tendering and contractor management activities where required.

Candidates should have previous DFG and housing adaptations experience, along with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining quality and compliance. Knowledge of Schedule of Rates and adaptation costing is essential, and contract administration and project management experience would be highly desirable. An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
