Our client is a local authority in South Wales which is undergoing a significant amount of growth and change and they are seeking a Development Consultant to join them for a contract role. This role sits within our clients newly established Development Team who are tasked with delivering the Council's ambition to develop more affordable, social homes.
You will be responsible for managing the implementation of various projects within a multi-million pound, multi-agency infrastructure development and regeneration programme. You will assist with the conception, implementation, project management and delivery of projects within this programme of work. You may also be involved with commissioning and managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams to support project development and implementation.
To apply you will need to hold a relevant planning/surveying related qualification and will be able to evidence a track record of having effectively delivered a number of regeneration and new build projects. You must understand and be capable of delivering a scheme from post acquisition through to post planning and have a background of working on mixed tenure residential projects and working with social housing providers.
You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members and be able to illustrate extensive project management capability including managing multi-disciplinary teams and projects. You will also have an extensive record of successful collaboration, liaison, influencing, negotiation and communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
The role will initially be offered until the end of March 2021 and the rate offered is negotiable (this role is inside IR35). A JD is available on application.
