Our client based in East London is looking to appoint a Covid-19 Outbreak Management and Control Manager to support the Covid response within the borough.
The role will work at the heart of the council's Covid-19 Hub, working closely with colleagues who have led their response to Covid-19 across vaccinations, testing and support. The role will require a skill set that includes project management, clear process thinking, strong communications skills and good stakeholder engagement. Whilst the role is largely centered around Covid, someone with a broader experience of project management and crisis experience would be welcomed.
Some key responsibilities as as follows:
1. Provide outbreak support to high priority settings (care homes, schools, faith settings, community settings, hostels, workplaces, housing providers)
2. Liaise with our internal Coronavirus Response Team to ensure oversight and surveillance of relevant outbreaks and settings.
3. Maintain clear processes and policies to support settings (these have been drafted), in line with updates to guidance.
4. Task manage other resources – including our Environmental Health Covid Marshalls and our community Covid Ambassadors – to support outbreak response as appropriate.
5. Liaise with LCRC and other partners as appropriate to ensure a joined-up health protection response.
6. Work closely with internal partnership groups to support the Covid response.
7. Provide clear updates on outbreak management and control to internal Covid governance structures.
This assignment will last for an initial period of 3 months with a likely extension thereafter and would lend itself to someone with a broad range of crisis fallout and strategic planning. The pay rate for this role is £400/day umbrella
