Our client based in the South East of London is looking to appoint a Procurement Officer to assist in the delivery of the capital programme through the procurement of additional/specialist suppliers to deliver works maintaining time, cost and quality.
Work closely with commissioning and procurement colleagues, you will lead on delivering the procurement of short-term suppliers for construction works for the Capital Delivery Service. You will also prepare commissioning strategies, procurement strategies, and contract award reports and tender analysis reports, as well as provide professional expertise and direction on tendering and contracts matters.
The post-holder must manage all related clarifications, complaints and queries escalating where necessary, whilst also providing regular updates to the Head of Service for monitoring purposes and progress. The ideal candidate will have experience of the construction industry/Housing/Capital works and a good understanding of the bills of quantity and specifications.
