Full Description

Our client is a local authority in London which requires a Consultant Estates Surveyor to join their Valuation and Strategic Assets (VASA) team for a contract which will initially be offered for a 3 month period.

Valuation and Strategic Assets (VASA) advise the Council on properties where there is an opportunity to exploit the underlying value of the asset either through a third party letting, disposal or acquisition, leading to a capital, revenue, or social-value benefit, and ensure the best use of our assets to deliver the borough outcomes. You will be involved with the provision of strategic property advice across the spectrum from valuation, disposals, acquisitions to leasehold and commercial advice. Treating all assets as a ‘corporate resource’, owned centrally for the benefit of the Council and its taxpayers. You will also take ownership for the delivery of part of the valuation and strategic assets work programme.

You must have a minimum of 8 years MRICS post qualified experience specialising in Landlord & tenant and asset management, but also must be a general allrounder who is prepared to get stuck into whatever comes their way and is focused on delivery for the council. Experience in local authorities with experience in private sector very useful. You must also be competent in all areas of L&T including all types of tenancy agreements and relating work and have expertise in operational property including education buildings, children and youth centres, waste depots, parks buildings .

The rate offered for this role is £500/day (inside IR35) and they are looking for someone who can start at short notice.
