Our client is a Local Authority in Kent who are seeking a Senior Conservation Officer to take responsibility for the processing of conservation and urban design matters relating to development control and planning policy. You will be responsible for handling pre-application advice, applications, negotiations with developers, appeals and enforcement work.
Applicants for this post must have a post grad qualification in Town Planning and relevant post qualification experience in a planning environment, of which a significant element must relate to conservation and the consideration of listed building issues.
The role is a contract post which will initially be offered as a 3 month contract though it is expected to be a long term rolling contract. The rate offered will be between £33-£35p/hr depending on your experience.
