Our client in East London is building a team to respond to any Covid-19 service requests as well as work to form longer term strategies for dealing with the pandemic. They would like to appoint a Community Insight Officer on a 12 month contract basis to help deliver a number of work streams.
Fundamentally you will work across the council and with partners at local, regional and national level to support the development and implementation of an action plan to make measurable progress against each aspiration. The scope of work will cover health impact assessments, health equity audits, various research projects and monitoring and data capture exercises.
You can expect to be working closely with organisations such as the NHS and other public health bodies so any experience working within a health organisation would be very useful. You will also be working with the general public so you will need good communication skills.
The role will require a high level of reporting and presenting data and information so you will need to be able to produce concise, detailed information in a prescribed format, good IT skills are absolutely critical. On occasion you may be involved in presentation work.
As this is a newly created post your duties may evolve and expand over time so you will need to be receptive to change and able to adapt accordingly. A flexible, self motivated approach to work will be essential and you must be willing t undertake any additional training and duties within reason.
The role will pay £27.50/hr (umbrella) which is roughly equivalent to around £35k per annum.
