Our client in East London is looking for someone to join their Social Care Commissioning team. You will work in partnership with the Brokerage and Contracts Team and operational social care staff and you will also project manage income generating projects working with operational colleagues, finance, housing and other colleagues.
We are ideally looking for someone with knowledge of the accommodation, care and support services for looked after children and carer leavers.
Key deliverable will include:
- Complete the Equalities Impact Assessment
- Review and finalise all tender documentation for semi-independent living and supported living services
- Evaluate submitted bids supporting operational staff with the process
- Lead on options paper for development of capital assets to be used as homes for looked after children and care leaver
It is absolutely essential that you can hit the ground running as you will join a busy team in a high pressure environment. You will need excellent analytical skills, with ability to use Excel to a good level.
Previous procurement experience is vital and you will need to show knowledge of implementing new services and overcoming the challenges that this type or work presents.
The initial contract will be 3-6 months but fully expected to extend given the nature of the role. The rate will be £450/day, inside IR35.
