Full Description

In response to the pandemic our client has established a 'Covid 19 Taskforce' to undertake a range of public health related work including commissioning. They anticipate needing up to 3 new appointments to help manage a busy, growing workload over the next 6-12 months, possibly beyond.

The roles exist within the Joint Commissioning Unit (JCU) whose scope includes Adult Social care; Children's Social Care, Public Health and SEND services for children, their parents and carers so we are looking for those with experience in one of the areas mentioned. This experience will likely of come from a role in a local authority; those with a background in the NHS / health care would also be strong candidates.

You will be assigned specific tasks in lien with your level of experience and expertise with the objective being to deliver 'end to end' commissioning of services. You will be working with appropriate stakeholders and corporate support services, and to take responsibility for the achievement of outcomes intended. You will manage projects that have significant risk and/ or significant budgets or savings targets (e.g. c£10m) so you will need to be well organised with a key eye for detail and the ability to contribute ideas to improve efficiencies.

The roles are working for a local authority in East London; at the moment you will mostly be home based. Initial contracts will be 3-6 months but with scope to extend significantly given the current climate.

Rates are negotiable, our client is looking to pay £25-£35/hr (umbrella). Part time work may be an option if this is preferred.
