Full Description

Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our local authority client in East Anglia for a contract role.

You will assist on the delivery of the Council’s high-profile Transport programme which is now moving towards the construction of Major Projects phase. As the Commercial Manager you will provide focused advice on commercial activities within the programme. This will include procurement for major works as well as ongoing management of the contract.

You will lead on the key procurement processes and provide:
• Value for money via commercial acumen
• Contract management advice
• Contract procurement expertise
• Contract negotiation with major contractors
• Consistent accurate approach to all transactions

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced procurement and commercial manager with an extensive knowledge of services and construction contracts. In this role you will be required to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and external organisations. You will be required to have extensive experience in negotiating and drafting construction works and services contracts.

The successful candidate for this role will hold a degree in either Civil Engineering/ Construction Management as well as have NEC Accreditation or equivalent experience (NEC3 or NEC4). A professional qualification or membership such as ICE/ CIHT/ CILT/RICS/IStructE would also be beneficial.

This will initially be offered as a 3 month contract, but has potential to be extended beyond this.

It is inside IR35 and the rate offered is £500/day Umbrella. Our client offers a hybrid working arrangement.
